A little bit about me…

My name is Stacy Moffett and I love caring for children.  They challenge me, they make me think, and most of all, they make me laugh.  I take great pride and satisfaction in being part of the village that raises a child.  I view myself as a resource to parents; supporter and mentor to children; and leader and facilitator to staff.  I believe the parent-child relationship is the most important relationship in a child’s life.  The caregiver is an extension of the child’s home life and is a role that should not be taken lightly.

Raising a child is probably the single most challenging and exhilarating enterprise most of us will ever embark on.  At times it can be joyful and energizing; it can also be exhausting and unnerving.  At all times it is incredibly momentous, valuable and worth while.  I understand the many challenges of being a parent as I have two daughters of my own, Shelby and Brenna.  I have been married since 2005 to my wonderful husband, Matthew.

I believe that every interaction with a child provides an opportunity.  A conflict is an opportunity to teach listening and negotiation; an injury is an opportunity to practice empathy; mealtimes are an opportunity for conversation and manners.  Children thrive in a safe, nurturing and stable environment.  Each child has something to offer the group.  Each of us can gain from the company of others.  Patience and understanding are key, and I will always strive to demonstrate the importance of these to parents, staff and children.  I look forward to being a part of your child’s life!  Please let me know what I can do to make your child’s experience here one of the most memorable and enriching experiences yet.

A little bit about our school…

The Almond Orchard campus is centrally located in beautiful Citrus Heights.  Located near the Sunrise Mall, we offer quality care for infants through preschool age children.  We also offer a before and After School program for your school age child.  We provide 2 snacks and serve a hot lunch from a healthy menu.  Some of our “pluses” include:

  • Low teacher to child ratio with a small home-like feel
  • Small classrooms with more opportunity for one-on-one time between student
    and teacher
  • Friendly, energetic qualified staff with a passion for teaching young children

Because we feel that children have a right to quality education, we know that children must be taught from a personalized and individualized approach.  The Phoenix Schools are committed to providing that personalized instruction to meet the needs of each and every child.  Our curriculum includes Zoo Phonics, Math Their Way, D ‘nealian Writing, Science, Social Studies, Kindness Curriculum, Computers and a variety of Literature choices.  We are actively involved in our local community by offering Harvest Festivals, an End of the Summer Bash, and a Friendship Parties.

The Phoenix Schools are well known for our celebration of Week of the Young Child in the spring each year.  We celebrate the children, teachers, parents and the community by taking a day to celebrate each.  We end the fun week with a ladybug release and a party!

I look forward to sharing all of the details with you in person,
